Christmas has been and gone, leaving me once again with a library of free games that I don't have time to enjoy. In order to reduce this wastage I've deliberately invested some effort in trying out some of this year's crop.

Over the last few years I've collected dozens of free games from various online stores, most of which I've yet to even try. I think it's time I at least acknowledged their generosity.

Satellite Reign is the spiritual successor to Syndicate, a genre-defining moment in gaming history from the 90s, written by some of the original team. So it must be good. It should be good. Right?
