My tendency to sketch faces continues. Rarely, I've actually managed to draw two sketches here that I'm not completely embarrased to post on the Internet. Right now, anyway. I'll probably look at them tomorrow and wonder what I was thinking. Anyway.

Oh look sketches

Yep, more drawings. I've been getting the urge. Still not really satisfied with anything I'm doing. I'm sure these looked better before I scanned them. Still, here we are.

Not quite sure what happened to this woman's legs. Also, had to squash this drawing on the computer, as she was looking far too tall and thin.

The light of day

Had an opportunity to potentially illustrate (I suspect I'll never be able to say that word in the context of my work with a straight face) another book, but in the end the publishers decided to go with someone they knew. Fair enough. The drawing below was the preliminary. I've just inked it with my new graphics tablet, it's taking a while to get used to but it's good to work with. It does pressure sensitivity, which is the most tricky thing about it, and why the guy crouched above the door is composed of thicker lines than the guy coming through the door. I'll get used to it eventually, promise.
