I've decided that my previous effort at a spaceship really wasn't right. Really. It just looks too rigid, and the reason for this (I think) is that it's obvious it was drawn using a ruler. It's less of a drawing, more of a diagram. Anyone could have done it.

So with that in mind I've done this.

Again, I couldn't tell you where it came from, I just started with a basic shape and went from there. But I didn't use a ruler. See the difference? Plus, by my standards, it was a pretty big drawing (we're talking over half a sheet of A4) so I was able to put in a bit more detail. And yes, the perspective's a bit skewed and the shading's not right, and what the heck is it, anyway? But I'm happy with it, so long as I don't stare at it for too long.

So I didn't draw a lot in December then. January, either, by the looks of things. I have been quite busy, though. This week was the first time I didn't work overtime for at least a couple of months. The good thing though, is that this site is working - I'm now really motivated to get on and draw something before January is up, so I don't have to face that default page appearing. Hooray for my limited coding abilities.

I've just been at the paper for the first time this year, and the result is below. Some kind of spaceship thing (I just finished Homeworld 2 last week, in case you're wondering about the source of inspiration, although this isn't featured in the game, I just made it up). Hmmm. Yeah, don't know. I'm enjoying the sudden variation in what I'm doing, I'm just not fully satisfied with the result. Perspective's probably the best I've ever managed though, so at least my work's improving.
