Quick

A quick sketch of some kind of soldier. I use the term 'quick' in order to excuse any technical errors.

Bigger

Another robot. I'm doing a page of them. Some kind of war droid, possibly. I tried to put a bit more detail into this drawing, but I got a bit fed up with the shading part way through and sort of abandoned it. Oh, and since you're bound to be wondering - I couldn't decide what his legs would look like, so I didn't draw any.

Sad robot

Sat down with some spare time and an urge to draw this evening, and this was the result. Try to contain your amazement.

I didn't bother putting in too much detail or going over any lines too heavily, because I decided to ink it on the computer, having not done any inking since my first attempt back in November. This time though, I decided to try using a vector graphics package rather than a standard raster one, in order to get the accurate curves needed here.

Ta da. I've now been working on this for a couple of days, so the date's now inaccurate on this entry, but anyway. Took me longer than expected, mainly because I'm still learning my way through this (and partly because I've had other things to do, like work). Had inked half of it when I decided I needed to go back and start over. It's definitely nicer to be drawing lines as vectors because it's easier to play around with and correct. Shading's still not right, but I've been playing around with it for almost an hour now so I'm going to leave it where it is and do something else instead. And yes, it could be a little more colourful, but I was aiming for an industrial kind of look.
