Enthusiasm for 'drawing week' abated somewhat towards the end, partly because my normal working days were much more hectic than usual this week. Despite this, I found some energy this morning and managed a couple of slightly clumsy sketches of everyone's favourite robot, which inked up with only a few minor errors.
I did another one that I've started colouring, but it's a slow process and I'm not entirely happy with the results so far. So here's the black and white version.
So 'drawing week' got a little derailed last night, after I somehow managed to tear my finger open whilst vacuuming. And for those who know me, no, it wasn't the wound I inflicted upon myself last week, but a whole fresh new one. There's nothing quite like looking down and suddenly noticing your clothes are covered in blood, I can tell you.
Anyway, I'd had the idea of drawing some kind of sasquatch/imp creatures, but wasn't very happy with most of what came out. So this evening I tried inking them (unusually for me, on paper) and some of them came out looking a little better. I even liked one enough to colour it up.
Alright, so it's not Monday when I'm posting this, but I did draw it then. Thought I'd have a go at being serious about putting some stuff up here by declaring this 'drawing week', where each night, you, the breathlessly excited visitor, get to see another piece of high quality artwork. Or not. But anyway.
I actually spent some time on this, and then I ran out of time, so I might come back to it later. Could stand a bit more work, then maybe some inking and shading. Also, 'in the series' (possibly) I drew the following last week. If you add the one above into the right you can see the progression. Still not quite sure where I'm going, though.
