As is traditional with, well, just about anything, you've got to have a behind the scenes episode eventually. Okay, this is only the third actual complete story, so we're not exactly at the 100th episode here, but hey. It was a really easy one to write (I'm becoming suspicious that my subconcious has been furiously recycling jokes from somewhere else, that or it isn't that funny) and I thought (ha) that it would be a really easy one to make. Having had a bit of a long gap between now and the Emperor's new furniture, I thought I'd get on and bash this one out quickly. And in fact, this took me two weekends, so not bad in the end.

Anyway, on with some page-specific comments. I didn't originally write this first page with anything but Mr Crankled in it. Adding C-3PO and R2-D2 was a last minute addition, but based on an idea I'd had previously, which was to have them appearing in the background somewhere of every story inflicting some kind of torture on each other. That didn't work, because I wanted to do it subtly, and to suddenly throw in something like that into a regular story would just interrupt the flow. Here though, it seems like we're starting the story with an interruption, which I like. I also like the way C3PO is backing off and trying to hide the chainsaw. Came out well.

And yes, the title page for the 'show' is deliberately tacky-looking. A behind-the-scenes is usually an excuse to not bother doing things properly...
