The match

Panels one and two show one of the main problems with making these strips. Despite the fact that the lighting conditions were exactly the same for both shots, my wee digital camera had a bit of a problem. I've tried to alter the colour balance in both shots to match, but it's still quite obviously gone a bit awry.
The yellow goalpost cones are made from bits I borrowed temporarily from my minifig-scale Aliens dropship, which I will get round to putting photos of on here at some point, in order to prove that my Lego skills do actually extend beyond simply posing minifigs.
Han's comment in panel two about having Jar-Jar digitally removed refers to how many of these characters are actually digitally inserted into the Star Wars films in post-production, and sums up part of my feeling on how worthwhile this is. In panel four, the joint cry from the Ewoks is the same noise as made by the Jawas in the first Star Wars film just after R2-D2 falls flat on his face, hence the parallel here.
